you want to be my thoughts
“I want to be your thoughts,” you say.
“you are in my thoughts,” I say,
I mean
“not all of them, I think about other stuff too, but you’re in there”
blush, stutter
and you say “I want to BE your thoughts.
I want to be your thoughts. I want to be your blood. I want to be your capillaries.
I want to be your tendons. Your saliva. Your pimples. Your feelings.
I want to be that flash of energy when you conceive a phrase.”
I don’t even know what to say.
